JSU Army ROTC Program

Welcome to the Jackson State University, Reserve Officer’s Training Corps Alumni Program (JRAP)! The Tiger Battalion Alumni have become leaders in our nation’s military forces, our local communities, businesses, and educational institutions. The goals of the Alumni Program are clear: to provide a way to share the tradition with cadets and honor them along with the Alumni at the Tiger Battalion, to assist the Cadets while still in school and after graduation, and to support the faculty of the Department of Military Science.

We are currently seeking Tiger Battalion alumni who would like to serve as a mentor to some of our Cadets.  You will be matched with a Senior Cadet who has recently been accepted into your branch of the Army.  You will contact the Cadets by email or telephone, as agreed upon by you and the Cadet. If you are interested in serving as a mentor, please contact MAJ Gloria Hodge at gloria.n.hodge.mil@army.mil.

Send in your photos and updates! If you were associated with the Tiger Battalion as Cadre, Cadet, or Supporter, please let us know how you are doing.

Our Mission

The mission of the Jackson State University ROTC Alumni Program (JRAP) is to connect, engage, and mobilize Tiger Battalion alumni in support of current and future Cadets. JRAP is committed to preserving the Tiger Battalion's proud legacy and traditions through mentorship, professional development, scholarships, financial support, alumni engagement, and service to the Jackson State University Department of Military Science. Through our alumni's collective experience and resources, JRAP seeks to strengthen the bond between past, present, and future generations of Tiger Battalion leaders.

Our Vision

JRAP envisions a strong, connected, and engaged network of Tiger Battalion alumni who preserve the legacy of Jackson State University Army ROTC program while investing in the success of future generations. We aspire to build a lifelong community where alumni actively mentor, support, and develop Cadets, strengthen the Tiger Battalion, and ensure its tradition of developing leaders of character continues for generations to come.
